2010 Commitment 4 Change Football Camp

July 5th – 10th, 2010 Baltimore’s own retired NFL Atlanta Falcon, Keion Carpenter and Buffalo Bills’ Aaron Maybin hosted the 2nd Annual Commitment 4 Change Football Camp in Baltimore at Woodlawn High School. The 6 day clinic is inspired by their personal journey to the NFL and to teach young athletes the tools to success on and off the field. The camp combined formal education and fieldwork with interactive workshops, and focused on college preparation and character building, as well as, specialized technical sports training.The camp also included guest appearances from NFL’s Bryant Johnson (WR Lions), Alge Crumpler (TE Patriots – 2x All Pro & 4x Pro Bowl), Peerless Price (WR, Pro Bowl), Deangelo Hall (CB Redskins -2x Probowl), Lydel Sargeant (Buffalo Bills), Lonnie Harvey (Buffalo Bills) and Ashlee Palmer (Detroit Lions).

Celebrity entertainer Ricky Rozay also made a surprise appearance to discuss the importance of staying focused and utilizing the methods of football to succeed in life.

Carpenter, Maybin and Crumpler also dedicated time to visit and bring smiles to the children who are unable to attend the camp at the Pediatric ward of Johns Hopkins and Sinai Hospital. Upon entry into Johns Hopkins, they were greeted by the world renowned Dr. Ben Carson.
